Directions
1. Prepare the Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, finely chopped yellow onion, minced garlic, egg, plain breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, fresh parsley and salt. Use your hands to mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix, which can lead to tough burgers.

2. Form the Patties
Divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions. Gently form each portion into a 1-inch thick patty. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb; this helps prevent the burgers from bulging in the middle during cooking.

3. Cook on the Stovetop
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the turkey patties in the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C).

4. Toast the Buns (Optional)
While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill, in a dry skillet, or under the broiler for a minute or two until golden.

5. Assemble and Serve
Place a cooked turkey burger patty on each toasted bun. Add your favorite toppings and condiments such as fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onion, pickles, cheese, or avocado. Serve immediately and enjoy your classic juicy turkey burger!
